Welcome to my brand new blog!

Wow, wasn't that the most interesting opening I could have come up with! haha!

Either way, welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay. I haven't blogged in a number of years, and I've kinda been itching to get back on the bandwagon. As you can see from my profile up there.. I am a vegetarian. One who loves to cook, bake, and eat. Be prepared for posts about food. And pictures of food. mm... food.

I do a fair bit with photography, although being an amateur at it I'm not terrible at it and have an eye for photographing kids, animals and nature. Grown ups are fine to shoot, but they tend to be a bit stiff for my liking. Children and animals run and play and don't really worry about posing too much :) I live in a beautiful area of Canada(the Okanagan in BC) and the mild climate and wonderful colours add a real punch to my shots.

Along with being a vegetarian, I'm pretty involved with animal rights and am try to be as active as possible(or that I can afford) within my community and online. I am a proud "cat mom" to two pretty sweet cats. One who is a rescue and one who would have been had we not snapped her up. You'll hear their stories soon.. as they are my kids, the blog will have lots of them I'm sure.

So far in life, just trying to see where things are going to go. Enjoying it as it comes my way, although there are lots of things I'd like to do within the next 10 years. Get married.. as my boyfriend and I would love to after 6 years of being together, but, yeah, that costs money. Buy a home.. once again.. money! .. Once I have a home large enough to segregate, I'd love to foster cats and kittens from my local SPCA as it really is a space issue for me right now. Too small of a space to do much good with two other kitties.

I've got a long to do list in life, so I figured I could jot down my exploits as they happen. Even if no one wants to read this, hey, I find it therapeutic and a great way to look at situations from another angle once it's down on the proverbial paper.
